The Diamond R9 Aluminum Ball Track Insert is designed to prevent balls from remaining trapped on the ball track after a Smart Table has been vended due to worn or dirty ball tracks. By eliminating the area where balls commonly rest or hesitate, the insert helps ensure that all balls continue rolling toward the release gate and fully exit the table before the 10-second actuator timer closes.

Over time, normal wear and the accumulation of dust and debris can create areas on the ball track where balls hesitate or settle instead of rolling toward the release gate when the Smart table is vended.

This precision-machined aluminum insert seamlessly fits into the existing ball track opening beneath the balls as they rest between games. By eliminating the low spot where balls commonly settle, the insert promotes continuous ball movement and ensures that all 15 balls immediately begin rolling as soon as the actuator gate raises. Resulting in smoother, consistent ball release.

DIY Installation

1. Open the Body Panel Access Door.
2. Vend the table and verify that no balls remain on the ball track.
3. Carefully guide the long insert through the Body Panel Access Door and toward the ball track.
4. Install the long insert into the bottom of the ball track with the flat side facing down.
5. Ensure the long insert is fully seated along the entire length of the track.
6. Install the curved insert into the bottom of the ball track with the flat side facing down. Make sure the curved end slides inside the long insert, as shown in the photo, and not beneath it.
7. Secure the curved insert to the ball track using the supplied screw through the pre-drilled hole.
8. Roll the cue ball across the ball track and onto the insert to verify a smooth, uninterrupted transition.
9. Close and reattach the Body Panel Access Door.
